Agricultural exports between Malawi and Russia would be increased
Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism of Malawi (South Africa), Francis Kasaila, announced his intention to increase exports of agricultural products to Russia. In his opinion, the level of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Malawi is not at a high enough level, so he is waiting for investors from the Russian Federation who will take part in projects in agriculture and the construction of factories.
The main product of Russian exports is cereals. Tobacco, tea and coffee are imported from Malawi. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the volume of bilateral trade between Russia and Malawi in 2017 amounted to 75.3 million dollars.
