Argentina plans to restore the export of lemons to Japan

Argentina expects to resume deliveries of lemons to the Japanese market. The relevant document is being developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.

"We will continue to work with the Ministry of Agribusiness to gain access to Argentinean lemons for the Japanese market," said Oracio Reiser, Secretary of Foreign Economic Relations of the Argentine Foreign Ministry.

Last year, the South American country put lemons in 52 countries worth $ 249 million. In 2018, sales exceeded $ 211 million due to the markets of Russia, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
