Fruit exports from Chile increased by 6.13% to 695 thousand tons

The Chilean Fruit Exporters Association reported an increase in the supply of fruits by 6.13% to 695 thousand tons during the 2018/2019 season.

In particular, 221 thousand tons of fruits were sent to the USA, 212 thousand tons to Asia, 118 thousand tons to Europe, 9.8 thousand tons to Canada and 1.8 thousand tons to the countries of the Middle East.

At the same time, the export of sweet cherries decreased in relation to the volume of the last season to 181 thousand tons and avocados to 125 thousand tons.
