More than 100 million tons of grain collected in Russia

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reports that as of September 17, Russian farmers threshed 100.8 million tons of grain against 90 million tons for the same period last year. The harvested area of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 36.3 million ha (in 2018 - 33.4 million ha).

In particular, 69.2 million tons of wheat were harvested from an area of 22.9 million ha, compared to 62.9 million tons for the same period in 2018. Productivity was 30.2 c / ha.

Barley was threshed from an area of 7.7 million ha, 19.8 million tons were threshed (15.6 million tons in 2018) with a yield of 25.6 c / ha. Winter rapeseed was harvested from an area of 629.8 thousand ha in the amount of 1.1 million tons, which corresponds to the previous year. The yield of this crop was 17.9 c / ha.

Potatoes were also harvested at agricultural enterprises and peasant (farmer) farms - 3.1 million tons were accumulated (2.8 million tons in 2018), 1.6 million tons of vegetables were harvested at the level of the previous year.
